Clinical Nurse II

Requirements

1. No Suspension - Applicant is not in any form of discipline. (Written and / or disciplinary suspension.)
2. REACH (Achieves Expectations+) - Overall rating of "Achieves Expectations" or better on annual REACH evaluation.
3. Experience - One year FT/PT RN experience on the same unit at Hoag with successful completion of department orientation.
   1. a. If New Hire - One year FT/PT in an acute care hospital with clinical experience within the unit specialty at hire. Completion of orientation is a requirement to continue on Clinical Ladder.
4. Committee - Must have Committee selected on application.

Clinical Nurse III

Requirements

1. No Suspension - Applicant is not in any form of discipline. Note: Written and or disciplinary suspension.
2. REACH (Achieves Expectations+) - Overall rating of "Achieves Expectations" or better on annual REACH evaluation.
3. Experience - Three or more years of continuous employment as FT/PT RN in an acute care hospital.
   
   1. a. If New Hire – Three or more years FT/PT in an acute care hospital with clinical experience within the unit specialty at hire. Completion of orientation is a requirement to continue on Clinical Ladder.
4. Education (BSN) - BSN Required. Must already have this in order to apply to this level.
5. Certification - National Certification in Specialty Area. Must already have this in order to apply to this level.
6. Committee - Must have Committee selected on application.

Clinical Nurse IV

Requirements

1. No Suspension - Applicant is not in any form of discipline. Note: Written and or disciplinary suspension.
2. REACH (Achieves Expectations+) - Overall rating of "Achieves Expectations" or better on annual REACH evaluation.
3. Experience - Four or more years of continuous employment as FT/PT RN in an acute care hospital.
   1. a. If New Hire – Four or more years FT/PT in an acute care hospital with clinical experience within the unit specialty at hire. Completion of orientation is a requirement to continue on Clinical Ladder.
4. Education (MSN) - MSN Required. Must already have this in order to apply to this level.
5. Certification - National Certification in Specialty Area. Must already have this in order to apply to this level.
6. Committee - Must have Committee selected on application.
7. BSN RNs with a National Certification in Specialty area can now apply for Clinical Ladder IV to perform a Nursing Research Project with Dr. Ahlam Jadalla. Must have a research topic, obtain approval from your Nursing Director and Dr. Ahlam Jadalla. This proposal will be the clinical ladder improvement project component for Clinical Ladder. Must also accomplish the Clinical Ladder IV Exemplar points and meet all other CL expectations.
